Pre-Season Game #7: Jets vs. Predators

Winnipeg Jets vs. Nashville Predators
7:30 PM CT MTS Centre

Some home cooking is all the 2-3-0 Winnipeg Jets needed to win their third pre-season game and better their record to 3-3-0 Wednesday night.

After being stifled for two periods, the Jets broke through with three third period goals, two from Evander Kane, en route to a 3-1 win in their second pre-season game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Blake Wheeler had the game winning tally for the Jets.

With one day separating their last game and their final game of the pre-season, the Jets still have some tough decisions to make, including the status of many players still in camp - Jason Gregoire, Paul Postma, Janne Pesonen, Troy Bodie, and, of course, Mark Scheifele.

Scheifele sits tied for second in pre-season scoring. With an assist in Wednesday night's 3-1 win, he has three goals and four assists in four games.

Ondrej Pavelec is expected to start the final game.

This will be the final game before the Jets open their season on October 9th against the Montreal Canadiens at MTS Centre.

Puck drop is 7:30 PM CT and is available on TSN-Jets with Dennis Beyak and Sports Radio 1290 with Brian Munz.
