Jets Evander Kane, Andrew Ladd, Ondrej Pavelec, and Dustin Byfuglien were all ranked in the top 25 players for their respective positions by Yahoo! Sports Puck Daddy Blog written by Yahoo! Sports Sam McCaig.
Pavelec was ranked 22nd amongst goaltenders and there was promise as McCaig stated, "He's improved every season, and could be much higher on this list next year."
On the blueline, Byfuglien, who led all defensemen with 20 goals last season, was ranked 19th. His position was credited to the ease of transition from forward to defense and his booming shot.
Fellow blueliner Tobias Enstrom was an honourable mention amongst defensemen.
Kane ranked in at 19th amongst left wingers due to his power forward potential and not undergoing a sophomore jinx last season.
Ladd was ranked the highest Jet at 12th amongst left wingers. His ranking was mostly due to his breakout season as captain with 29 goals and 59 points last season. McCaig stated he was the first face of the franchise as captain.
Not cracking the lists were Jets Bryan Little and Nik Antropov, two of the teams other top offensive threats.
