While Patrice Cormier and Mark Flood show off the new Jets logo and apparel, their AHL affiliate will be getting it's new digs on Friday.
According to The Telegram out of St. John's, Newfoundland, the new AHL team owned by True North Sports & Entertainment in St. John's will be named the Ice Caps and the official unveiling of the name and logo and jerseys will occur on Friday.
A week after the Jets unveiled their logo in Winnipeg, their AHL affiliate is proud to unveil their own.
Club president and former Premier Danny Williams selected the name Ice Caps.
The announcement will go at slated for 11 a.m. at Mile One Centre.
As part of the official launch, IceCaps T-shirts and ball caps will go on sale noon Friday at That Pro Look, Maverick Sports and Collectibles, Play-it-Again Sports and Sportscraft.
