Jets Sign Zach Bogosian to a Two-Year, $5 Million Contract

Zach Bogosian is finally able to get to work as a Winnipeg Jet.

The Jets officially announced that they had signed the 21 year-old defenseman to a two-year deal worth $5 million.

Bogosian, who has played the last three seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers, had a great sophomore season, ranking in the top 30 in hits in the NHL, but had a decline in production in his last season in Atlanta.

He will look to put that behind him as well as look forward to his new contract with the Jets.

Bogosian is the first of three big name, young defenseman to sign contracts this summer and will give the LA Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs a feel for what the market is wanting for these type of players.
