Jets Camp Is In Session

The Jets are back.

After a day of physical testing on Friday, the on-ice sessions begin at the MTS Iceplex in the Winnipeg Free Press Centre where fans have their last chances to see the Jets before their home opener on October 9th against Montreal.

Surreal feeling for Winnipeggers? For sure.

It's been 15 years already. Drop that puck!

Many players, including captain Andrew Ladd, Eric Fehr, and Dustin Byfuglien addressed the media upon the start of camp on Friday, including goals and what to expect from the young Jets squad.d

Head coach Claude Noel also addressed the media regarding the status of Byfuglien, saying that he knows of nothing that will stop Byfuglien from beginning camp with the team and hinder anything hockey wise going forward.

Camp will start with on-ice sessions and inter-squad games that includes three different teams composed of regular NHL players, players signed to the AHL's St. John's Ice Caps, and rookies that were a part of the YoungStars Tournament in Penticton earlier this month.

The MTS Iceplex will be open at 8:30 this morning and the workouts are scheduled for 9:00 am, 10:45 am, and 12:30 pm.
