The Jets will meet their first division rival during a matinee game on the east coast as the other half of the team meets the Carolina Hurricanes at the time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.
Coming off a close 4-3 loss to a mostly veteran Nashville Predators squad last night at Bridgestone Arena, the Jets will be dressing a completely different team than the one that played last night in music city.
Tonight, the Jets will skate a team led by Dustin Byfuglien, Kyle Wellwood, and Zach Bogosian into Charlotte.
Byfuglien had two assists in his home debut in Winnipeg, not to mention a big hit in the game's first seconds on Columbus Blue Jackets Matt Calvert.
The big defenseman from Minnesota is making himself a fan favourite very quickly.
The Jets win in their first home pre-season game was the first by the Thrashers/Jets franchise since September 23, 2009, when the then-Thrashers beat the Predators 5-4.
So far, the Jets are 1-2 to start the pre-season.
Game time is 4:00 PM CT and is available on TSN-Jets, starting at 3:45 PM CT.
