Jet Sign Prospect Telegin


Wednesday, the Jets signed centre Ivan Telegin. The 6'3, 180 lb centre was originally drafted by the Thrashers in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft 101st overall in the third round.

The nineteen year-old Telegin played the last two seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s Saginaw Spirit collecting 105 points (46 goals, 59 assists) along with 55 penalty minutes in 110 games.

The Novokuznetsk, Russia native was fourth on the Spirit in scoring with 61 points (20 goals, 41 assists) in 59 games last season.

He was a big part of the Spirit reaching the second round of the OHL playoffs scoring 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) in 12 playoff games.

Telegin also competed for Russia at the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships in Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan.
